Details: 1.For onion farming (Home garden or Large scale farming) first nursery seeding shall be raised from the Onion seed then transplanted to prepared field . 2.Well air dried Onion seed can be sown (mixed with sand )in the raised bed/ nursery bag approximately 1inch deep. 3. Potted mixed soil or well decomposted manure along with soil (1:1 ratio ) can be used for nursery raising. 4.Only sprinkle the water till germinate usually onion seed germinate in 15days ,keep moist till germinate. 5.Avoid overwater the seed. 6.Provide shade for tempeature control ,if necessary. 7.You can transplant the seeding to prepared raised bed or container 30 to 35 days after sowing.
